Oklahoma improbably Big 12's hottest team

Tim Griffin writes :

Even in his wildest dreams, Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops wasn't thinking about Bowl Championship Series berths and Big 12 titles when Adrian Peterson went down with a broken collarbone.
and :
A funny thing happened on the way to catatrosphe for the Sooners. They suddenly developed into the Big 12's hottest team.
finally :

But with or without him[Adrian Peterson], the Sooners have proven to be a tenacious and competitive team that has kept plugging away despite all the adversity this season.

Just like their coach.

Tim Griffin covers the Big 12 for the San Antonio Express-News.

I couldn't have said it better Tim. With a decisive win at Baylor under our belts, it begins to look a lot more promising for the post season this year. I would really love to see AD come back for OSU, but even if he doesn't, I can see us getting a decent bowl game, which he should be able to play in. The Cotton Bowl has been mentioned already. There has been a lot of talk about him going pro after this season. I think that will depend on whether he gets enough game time to beat Sim's record. If not, he might stick around another season. I would really love to see a whole healthy season out of him. I think he would too. Either way he decides, I wish him the best. He has shown himself to be a great athlete and a good person all the way around.

Be sure to read the rest of the article, there are some other nice action photos there as well.
